Plus new app note!
We are delighted to present two exciting pieces of news featuring Quantum Design products. One is a new research update video from the prestigious University of Vienna and a new App Note demonstrating how easy it is setting up deep-level transient spectroscopy (DLTS) with the Zurich Instruments MFIA Impedance Analyser and PPMS DynaCool® cryostat from Quantum Design.
CryoFMR Probe for PPMS Features in Video from the University of Vienna
Research Update – Towards quantum magnonics with long-propagating magnons. In this video, David Schmoll discusses investigations around this topic and the exciting results published on Physical Review B and Low Temperature Physics.

“In this video we report about our research providing direct experimental evidence of the inhomogeneous GGG stray field as the origin for the observed asymmetric broadening of the FMR linewidth. Furthermore, microstructuring the YIG film allowed to successfully avoid the parasitic broadening and significantly decrease the linewidth to temperatures down to 10K.”

APP NOTE
This application note illustrates the ease of setting up deep-level transient spectroscopy (DLTS) with the Zurich Instruments MFIA Impedance Analyser and PPMS DynaCool® cryostat from Quantum Design. To demonstrate, we measured a GaAs Schottky diode at variable temperatures from 350 K to 230 K and evaluated the transients for defect characterisation.
