Eureka 2025 – Physics for Security

Quantum Design UK and Ireland are sponsoring this international conference, aiming to bring together academia, industry and other stake holders, such as fund-managers, scientific editors, and policy makers.

Organised by the University of Bath’s Physics Department, this is a three-day meeting which will take place at the Apex City of Bath Hotel. The conference will focus on emerging new science, as well as new technology that is not mature yet but has significant potential to be.

The topics covered by the conference will include: specialty optical fibres, quantum photonics, two dimensional materials and application, functional and quantum materials and devices, lasers and emitters, nano and photonic platforms, sensing technology, nonlinear photonics, biosensing methods, etc. We would particularly welcome submissions on the topics of advanced energetics, advanced structures and materials, autonomy, navigation, control, seekers and sensors, aerodynamics, semiconducting (nano)materials, such as gallium nitride, single photon processes.

This international conference aims to bring together academia, industry and other stake holders, such as fund-managers, scientific editors and policy makers. The program will include talks, poster sessions and an industrial exhibition. There will be a best poster competition, judged by the Awards Committee.

The first day will begin with plenary talks and will end with social events (trip to Stone Henge and welcome dinner). There will be three parallel sessions running on the second and third day.

The industrial exhibition will run from the second day of the conference (set up will be during the afternoon of the first day). The exhibition is free to access for conference attendees. The organisers aim for this exhibition to be an excellent forum for discovering new products, for seeking industrial involvement and collaboration, as well as for discussing potential discounts.

Quantum Design UK and Ireland will be attending and will have a stand where you can come and discuss the Cryogenics range, Imaging Cameras and QD systems (including Fusion Scope – the correlative AFM with SEM.
