Tunable monochromatic light sources
Our monochromators are primarily used to transmit specific (narrow) bands of optical radiation. All of our monochromators are based on the well established Czerny-Turner design. Depending on the desired wavelength range and spectral resolution, the monochromator can be fitted with a number of diffraction gratings, or an aluminium mirror to maintain a broadband output. We also offer a variety of accessories to couple light into or out of the monochromator i.e. free space or fibre optics.
When coupled with one of our broadband light sources, the monochromator can be used as a high resolution broadband tuneable filter (monochromatic excitation source).
