Organised by: SCI’s Colloid & Surface Chemistry Group and RSC’s Colloid & Interface Science Group
The Sir Eric Rideal Lecture honours an individual who has made a sustained and distinguished contribution to colloid and interface science in the UK. A one-day scientific meeting is organised around the winner. We’re especially excited here at Quantum Design UK and Ireland (QDUKI), because the 2026 awardee is Professor Joe Keddie from the University of Surrey, a great friend of QDUKI, who featured in our company video:

Accompanying Prof. Keddie in the image above is our own Technical Director, Shayz Ikram, who will be on a trade stand at the event and would be delighted to talk about your upcoming scientific challenges.
This meeting will bring together a cross-disciplinary mix of scientists (including biologists), chemical engineers, and biotechnologists with a shared interest in the synthesis, properties and applications of polymer colloids. An important aim of the meeting is to provide early-career researchers an opportunity to present their research to the polymer colloids community. There will be flash poster presentations to allow these researchers to introduce their work followed by a poster session.
