MODELS
MPPUVA is based on our SED033/UVA/W which measures UVA covering 315-390 nm. The sensor kit includes calibration at 364 nm for direct reading in units such as uW/cm2 and mW/cm2 depending on the intensity.
MPPNBB is based on our SED005/TLS312/W which measures Narrow band UVB covering 290-330 nm with a 312 nm center wavelength. The sensor kit includes calibration at 311 nm for direct reading in units such as uWcm2 and mW/cm2 depending on the intensity.
MPPUVB is based on our SED270B/QT which measures UVB covering 265-320 nm. The sensor kit includes calibration at 308 nm for direct reading in units such as uW/cm2 and mW/cm2 depending on the intensity.
Dynamic Ranges are based on averages:
MPPUVA Range: 1e-7 – 1.8 W/cm²
MPPNBB Range: 3e-6 – 4 W/cm²
MPPUVB Range: 4e-7 – 8 W/cm²

APPLICATIONS
Low Light Level Measurement
Low Light Level detection and measurement requires the use of a PMT sensor and highly sensitive light meter capable of measuring very low current or voltage levels. ILT combines a Hamamatsu PMT, miniature power supply, filters and optics into a compact housing that allows measurements as low as nlux and fW/cm2 over the ranges of 250-780 nm
Audience Scanning & Laser Safety
Audience scanning immerses the audience with light in many shapes and sizes (laser beams, cones, fans, waves, sheets, etc) so that the laser light is actually touching people. It is a truly an immersive effect that allows people to virtually touch and interact with the light. Laser lighting can be shined directly at the audience, reflect off natural and artificial structures in the environment, or focused on the stage and performer. Regardless of the directionality of the display, there is a risk for over exposure to the human eye.
Endoscope & Fibre Optic Testing
Endoscope and other fibre optic illuminator lighting systems were previously considered difficult to trouble shoot in the field, and were commonly sent out to certified laboratories for evaluation, repair, replacement or service. In many cases expensive components were simply swapped out for new parts when test equipment was too costly or unavailable. ILT offers a selection of portable light measurement testing systems that allow easy measurement of fibre optic lighting systems including endoscopes, laparoscopes, cystoscopes, microscope illuminators, spot curing sources and more.
Germicidal and UV Disinfection
ILT offers germicidal radiometer systems for testing effective germicidal ultraviolet irradiance for most short wave UV ("UV-C") sources including ozone producing and non-ozone producing, low and medium pressure mercury lamps, xenon lamps and UV LEDs. ILT sensors come in many configurations for effective germicidal UV light measurements conforming to the IES Luckiesh and DIN standards. Filtered for narrow bands such as 254, 365, and 405 nm, and unfiltered sensors calibrated at peak wavelengths such as 254, 265 and 275 nm for testing narrow band sources.
Optical Radiation Hazard
International Light Technologies has designed a selection of systems to measure almost any Optical Radiation Hazard application as defined by ICNIRP, ACGIH and EU Directive 2006/25/EC. Sources emitting optical radiation are of paramount concern to hygienists, safety engineers, and public health officials, both from their beneficial effects and their potential as a hazard to health and safety.
Photodynamic Therapy
Photodynamic Therapy involves the use of optical radiation in the cure of medical maladies. Phototherapy is defined as the treatment of medical, psychological, or cosmetic conditions by exposure to light. Photodynamic Therapy or PDT is a specialized type of phototherapy for the treatment of cancers and, like some phototherapy treatments, uses photosensitisers, but in a different way.
Photoresist
Photoresist is a light-sensitive chemical substance that is used to form a coating on a surface or substrate and is used to form patterns for industrial processing. This coating can then be exposed to a specific band of light, referred to as the photoresist’s action spectrum, to affect a desired change in the photoresist. This change causes the photoresist to either become soluble or insoluble to another chemical called the developer which will be washed over the photoresist.
Phototherapy
International Light Technologies has developed a line of reliable, highly accurate light measurement systems capable of both research and development or clinical use and available to match the wide variety of light sources used in modern phototherapy treatments. ILT meters come with NIST traceable, ISO 17025 accredited calibrations in units of Watts, Lumens, Watt/cm2, lux and foot-candles as well as full spectrum analysis
Plant Photobiology
ILT offers a full line of light measurement systems designed to test, quantify and monitor both natural and artificial light sources used in plant growth, photobiology, photomedicine, and UV photobiology studies. ILT systems cover the full range of optical radiation (UVB, UVA, VIS and NIR-Far Red) spectrum for measurement of PAR, PPF, PPFD, and RQE with direct readout in µmol/m2/sec. ILT Spectrometers are available to provide complete spectral analysis from UV-NIR in µmol/m2/sec/nm, as well as transmission and reflectance.
Solar Radiation Measurement
ILT offers specialised systems for testing Solar UVB with a billion-to-one VIS/IR rejection. This is critical for testing Solar UVB since nearly all of the sun's energy is in the longer wavelengths. Using the same radiometers included with the solar UVB system, different detectors, filters, optics and calibrations can be ordered for testing UVA, VIS, NIR and IR.
UV Curing
Curing a product with exposure to UV light, while fast and economical, requires careful control of the exposure process such as the spectral output of the light source, intensity levels, and exposure times of the products. International Light Technologies has developed a broad range of UV curing-specific light measurement systems to aid in the challenging task of defining and monitoring these critical process variables.
