Direct Electron are a leading manufacturer of direct and indirect detection cameras for Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEMs). Their cameras are compatible with a number of instruments from different suppliers, including JEOL, FEI, Zeiss and Hitachi. Their cameras are currently being used worldwide for cryo-EM, in-situ microscopy and a variety of materials research applications.

Direct Electron TEM cameras offer ultimate resolution without trading off high sensitivity or large field of view. Their large dynamic range enables applications such as high-resolution TEM (HRTES), energy-filtered TEM (EFTEM) or scanning TEM (STEM).  The Direct Electron cameras can reach frame rates of up to 1000+ fps and still achieve excellent signal-to-noise ratio, which is essential for temporally critical in-situ TEM experiments.

Additionally Direct Electron have the largest direct detection sensor of any TEM camera manufacturer – 8192 x 8192  pixel array (67.1 MP).
